How to test an M3U8 stream reliably

An M3U8 file is a text playlist, not the video itself. It points to media segments and may also describe alternate bitrates, audio tracks, and subtitles. This player reads that playlist in your browser and requests each segment directly from the stream host. Use only URLs you own or are authorized to access.

Paste a complete HTTP or HTTPS URL ending in .m3u8, including any required query token. Do not paste a page URL that merely contains a video player.

Start playback and inspect
Select Play. A valid master playlist may switch quality automatically. Use the player statistics to check the active level, resolution, buffer, and network behavior.
